We have all seen the Crysis 3 Trailers for the PC running off of Directx 11. But do you think the game will work for Directx 9 based operating systems(more specifically Windows XP)? I know that it is based off the Cryengine 3 game engine, which supports DirectX 9, but do you think that the game will still not be DirectX 9 compatible. I don't want to pay $100 just for a new vertex and graphics engine by Microsoft.
Also, running games in Directx 11 is more demanding than running in Directx 9. And just one more thing. Do you think the game will support Linux and OpenGL?
(probably not, but Crysis 2 was ported to the PS3 which runs OpenGL right?).
